Privacy Policy
What data Ebooq collects, why we collect it, and what rights you have. Last updated: 10 September 2026.
1. Overview
This policy explains how ebooq.store handles personal data. We collect the minimum needed to sell you an eBook, deliver it, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it except with the service providers described below.
For any privacy question, contact hello@ebooq.store.
2. What We Collect
- Order information — your name, email address, billing address and country. The billing country is required to calculate the correct tax.
- Payment information — processed directly by our payment providers. Full card numbers never reach this website and are not stored by us. We receive only a confirmation of payment and limited details such as the last four digits and card type.
- Account information — the account created at checkout so you can access your downloads later, including your order history and download records.
- Correspondence — emails you send us, kept so we can handle your query and any follow-up.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected through cookies and server logs to keep the site secure and working.
3. Why We Use It, and Our Legal Basis
- To perform our contract with you — taking payment, delivering your download, providing account access and dealing with problems.
- To meet legal obligations — tax and accounting records must be retained for the period the law requires.
- For our legitimate interests — preventing fraud, securing the site, and understanding in aggregate how the shop is used.
- With your consent — marketing emails, where you have opted in, and non-essential cookies. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
4. Who We Share It With
We share data only with providers that help us run the shop, and only as far as they need it:
- Payment providers — to take payment securely and handle refunds and chargebacks.
- Hosting provider — which stores the site and its database.
- Email delivery — to send order confirmations and download links.
- Analytics and advertising platforms — where enabled, and subject to your cookie choices.
Some providers operate outside your country. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place, such as standard contractual clauses.
5. Cookies
Essential cookies keep your cart and session working and cannot be switched off without breaking checkout. Analytics and marketing cookies, where used, are optional and set only with your agreement. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though doing so may prevent checkout from functioning.
6. How Long We Keep Data
Order and transaction records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically several years. Account and download records are kept while your account remains open, so that your purchases stay available to you. Correspondence is kept for a reasonable period after a query is closed. You may ask us to close your account and delete data we are not legally required to retain.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of your data, correct inaccurate data, ask for deletion, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, and receive your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email hello@ebooq.store. We will respond within the time the law allows and may need to verify your identity first.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you may complain to the data protection authority in your country.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS and access to order data is restricted. Payment card details are handled entirely by our payment providers. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, and we will notify you and the relevant authority if a breach occurs that is likely to affect your rights.
9. Children
This shop is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the shop changes. The current version is always published on this page, with the date shown at the top.
